Perkasie Olde Towne Association

After a several-years hiatus, the popular Perkasie Farmers Market will return this Saturday.

The market will be open from 8 a.m until noon in the area of 7th and Market streets in the downtown business district.

A joint effort of Perkasie Olde Towne Association, the Pennridge Chamber of Commerce and the Borough of Perkasie, the market will be one feature of a new event called “Saturday Morning in Perkasie.” Live music, business and restaurant specials, and a unique “Passport to Perkasie” should create a fun, energized atmosphere in the borough, according to POTA President Joe Ferry.

“Saturday Morning in Perkasie” will be held on the second and fourth Saturday of each month through the summer.

“We want to showcase all that is good about Perkasie and give our residents and others a reason to spend a couple of hours in the borough,” he said.

In addition to locally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables, the farmers market will include baked goods, honey, jams, coffee, flowers, soaps, and more.

The Grass Band will perform live from 10 a.m. to noon.

By participating in the “Passport to Perkasie,” visitors will be entered in a drawing for a prize if they visit at least five Perkasie businesses listed in the passport. Several businesses will offers specials during the event.
